This Privacy Policy describes how English Chapel of Antananarivo (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the ECA Companion mobile application (“the App”).
1. Information We Collect
The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information.
The App accesses the following data solely to display content:
- Church announcements — fetched from our church management system to display current notices and events.
This data is read-only and is not linked to any individual user.
2. Data Storage
The App may cache announcement data locally on your device using AsyncStorage to allow offline access. This cached data contains only public church announcements and is stored exclusively on your device. We do not have access to it.
3. Third-Party Services
The App connects to our church server hosted at board.english-chapel-antananarivo.org to fetch announcements. No data about you is sent to this server. Requests are authenticated using an anonymous read-only API key embedded in the App.
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
4. Permissions
The App requests only the permissions necessary to function. It does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other sensitive device resource.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. It contains no features that require or encourage the submission of personal information.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
